Stephen Hockman, the former chairman of the Bar, is calling for an international court to enforce environmental protection.
In principle, this is an excellent idea.
If we make international agreements to save the planet from climate change we should have a fair and independent tribunal to resolve disputes and enforce the agreement so that no-one can sign up then ignore their obligations.
