I am just watching Jo Swinson lead for us in the Commons debate on Lisbon and she is doing a superlative job, in complete mastery of the facts and issues and communicating in a way that, I think, would speak to the general public far better than the average speech in the Commons.

Jo’s talent is very considerable and if you think who might take over from Nick in about 8-10 years time she is in a class of her own.
